Chicago pastor calls for 'safe' summer

He spoke to the congregation Saturday morning at 'The House of Hope' on 114th Street. He says the first step to end the killings "starts with the church."

"Something is going wrong, and it's up to the church to get a handle on it. It's up to the church, at least, to talk about it, at least, to discuss it, at least, to be mad about it, at least, to cuss about it, at least to do something," said Reverend Meeks.

Reverend Meeks added that people can turn in guns or enroll in GED programs during this Wednesday's march.
