King family in estate dispute

The family of Martin Luther King is embroiled in a legal dispute over the late civil rights leader's estate.Two of his children have filed a lawsuit against a third, demanding that he open the books of their father's estate.

Bernice King and Martin Luther King III claim that Dexter King, the estate's administrator, is refusing to provide them with documents concerning the estate's operations. According to the lawsuit, that includes financial records, contracts, financial affairs and other documents.

The lawsuit claims Dexter King and the estate "converted substantial funds from the estate's financial account" for their own use" without notifying his siblings.

Dexter King has 30 days to respond.
