Peterson has been named a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy. She hasn't been seen since October.
The Sun-Times quotes the two close friends as saying Peterson mocked police who were investigating his wife's death. The paper also quotes the friends as saying Peterson wasn't worried about anyone finding Stacy's remains because he'd be tried and acquitted by then.
Drew Peterson has said all along he had nothing to do with his wife's disappearance.
