Part of a building collapsed late Thursday night on Chicago's South Side. At about 11:30 p.m., the rear of the building in the 3200-block of South Shields gave way, sending bricks and debris into the alley and a nearby pool. A couple of garages were also damaged.

Neighbors say the building was vacant.

There's no word of any injuries.

Building inspectors will look into what caused the collapse.
