Our guest is Al Brendel, the new president of the world's largest service organization, Lions Clubs International, which is based in suburban Oak Brook. He and 2,000 other Lions members have been in China, helping victims of the devastating May 12th earthquake. At least 70,000 victims are thought to have died, and some 5 million were left homeless.

Generous Americans have donated $3 million to help the Lions pay for their work in China.
