Pedestrian killed by semi on SW Side

CHICAGO It happened a little before 10 a.m. at 47th Street and Western Avenue. The victim is believed to be in his 70s. But his name and exact age have not been released.

A portion of Western Avenue was closed to traffic while police investigated.
