Several people are facing drug charges as part of an undercover Chicago police investigation called Operation Homestead. Complaints from residents prompted police to begin the five month drug investigation on the city's near North Side.

Nine people are being charged. Those charges range from delivery and possession to criminal drug conspiracy.

Operation Homestead is the 31st open-air drug market shut down by Chicago police this year.
