Chicago celebrates Indian independence

Thousands of people lined a stretch of Devon Avenue Saturday for the city's Indian Independence Parade.Chicago's Indian community celbrated with food, floats and fun along the parade route between Western and California Avenue.

Governor Blagojevich attended the parade and greeted some of the parade audience.

India gained its independence from British rule 61 years ago.
