null A study in the journal Archives of Disease in Childhood had 130 children wear monitors for a week. The devices showed a majority of the children were spending a lot of time not moving.

On average, parents thought their children were exercising about 2 hours a day. In reality, the study showed, both boys and girls were only getting about 30 minutes of activity a day.
