Claypool won't run for Ill. congress

Cook County Commisioner Forrest Flaypool says he won't run for the congressional seat being vacated by Rahm Emanuel who will become chief of staff in the Obama administration.Claypool says he thinks he can have more impact on the county board than he can on Capitol Hill.

He's a former chief of staff for Mayor Daley and has been in business with David Axelrod, a top advisor to President-elect Barack Obama.

Claypool won't say whether he'll run again for county board president.

A number of democrats have expressed their interest in running for Emanuel's seat.

Gov. Blagojevich must set a date for a special election.
