The plan to turn Michael Reese Hospital into an Olympic Village appears to be back on track. The acquisition of the 37-acre site could be approved by City Council next month.

Turning Michael Reese into an Olympic Village will cost over $1 billion. The city would pay about $485 million for the property.

Talks had broken off with MedLine, which owns the site, because of the high costs for demolition and cleanup.
