After visiting with some of the guests and posing for pictures, the mayor spoke about the governor's legal troubles.
"You have to be 100 percent on board mentally and physically…when you're an executive. You have to be, that's all you have to pay attention to. You cannot ever be distracted. Once you're distracted, that hurts anyone in government," Daley said.
When asked what he would do if he were in Governor Blagojevich's shoes, the mayor responded: "I would not be in that position."
Friday, one of the governor's attorneys said Blagojevich may eventually resign if his legal problems hurt the people of Illinois.
