On the Gold Coast, at Scott and Astor, an old tree was ripped from its roots. It came down on two cars. No injuries reported there.
In all, Streets and Sanitation had to clear away debris from 60 downed or damaged trees.
Dozens of trees downed by high winds
CHICAGO One tree landed on a few cars injuring five people. The tree fell onto an SUV and a car at 83rd and Yates on Chicago's South Side.
It's not clear how serious the injuries are to the people in the cars.
Two other cars were also damaged.
