Police say on Tuesday -- the victim let Wynester Lewis and her former foster daughter spend the night at her home.
The next morning, the victim's husband went to her bedroom after hearing sounds and allegedly saw Lewis and her friend run from the scene. He found his wife lying on the floor and her purse was missing
Lewis is charged with armed robbery.
The victim is hospitalized in critical condition with severe head injuries.
