Man charged with sex assault of child

March 18, 2009 Kelly A. McDonald, 32, of the 9900 block of East Holly Lane, was charged early Wednesday morning with one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse by Cook County Sheriff's Police detectives.

Sheriff's Police said McDonald allegedly assaulted an 11-year-old girl known to him Tuesday morning about 4 a.m. The child reported the incident to another adult, who ultimately called police.

McDonald appeared in 2nd District circuit bond court in Skokie Wednesday morning. He is slated to appear again in court on March 24 at 9 a.m.
