White House to hold online town hall

Obama to answer questions Thursday
March 25, 2009 (WASHINGTON) On Wednesday, the president invited Americans to use a new feature on the White House website, whitehouse.gov, called "Open for Questions."

"Open for Questions" gives everyday Americans a chance to ask President Obama about any issue, including the economy. President Obama will then answer the most popular questions during in an online town hall on Thursday morning.

To become part of the discussion, visit whitehouse.gov/openforquestions to set up an account.

According to the Obama Administration, the experimental online town hall meeting is about encouraging transparency and accountability.
