Jews celebrate Passover Seder

April 8, 2009 (CHICAGO) ABC7 was on hand for pre-Seder prayers at the Lubavitch Chabad Center on Chicago's North Side.

The eight-day Passover holiday recalls the exodus of Jews from slavery in ancient Egypt.

Also on Wednesday, devout Jews in Chicago and around the world observed a ritual performed only once every 28 years. They said morning prayers under the open sky in a ceremony called the blessing of the sun. That included a gathering on Chicago's lakefront at Division.
