Child dies after being struck by car

April 18, 2009 (CHICAGO) The accident happened about 5 p.m. when police say a car struck the boy in an alley on the 7200- block of South Sacramento.

Adrian Carranza was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital. Staphanie Ratliff, 40, was cited for striking a pedestrian without exercising due caution.
