1 dead in I-55 crash

May 22, 2009 The driver apparently crashed and was ejected from the vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead on scene.

The crash happened on the southbound side of I-55 about one mile south of Reed Road.

Traffic is moving on the right shoulder. No other vehicles were involved in the crash and no other injuries were reported.

It's unclear what caused the driver to lose control.
