Chicago gets top spot in 2016 rankings

June 8, 2009 Chicago maintains the lead in the latest edition of the "Around the Rings Olympic Bid Power Index." The rankings were compiled following on-the-scene trips to each of the four nominated host cities.

Members of the International Olympic Committee toured Chicago back in April. Chicago scored 80 out of 110 possible points.

Madrid came in second place, followed by Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro. A final decision for the 2016 Summer Games will be announced in October.
