Many of the retail stores in the block are scheduled to open this fall. Block 37, bounded by State, Washington, Randolph and Dearborn, had been vacant for decades.
Downtown 'Block 37' construction winds down
August 1, 2009 (CHICAGO) The barrier had been set up on State Street. It's removal means an additional lane of traffic will be available, and the sidewalk will reopen, which has been closed since the project started.
