ABC7 News has learned exclusively that Mayor Daley is backing a new ordinance requiring oversight and public reporting on Olympic finances if Chicago wins the 2016 Summer Games. It would require two alderman serve on the Olympic organizing committee.

Chicago's Olympic planners would also have to provide the city council with quarterly reports on several fronts, including revenues, expenses, insurance protection and minority and women owned business participation.

Alderman Manny Flores will introduce an ordinance of his own which is even tougher requiring oversight by a government watchdog group.
