Walgreens and CVS start flu shots

Walgreens and CVS pharmacies plan to begin giving the usual yearly flu shots Tuesday, about four weeks earlier than usual. Both companies say they expect greater demand for the vaccine, because of the news about swine flu, even though the regular vaccine does not protect against H1N1.

Walgreens will have shots available daily through the month of September.

CVS will have shots available at scheduled flu shot clinics and at all of its walk-in clinics.
