1 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 egg yolks (save whites and beat with fork)
2 cups flour
1 - 1/2 cups chopped nuts
preserves of your choice

Preheat to 300. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Blend in egg yolk. Beat well, sift flour and add to mixture. Roll dough into 1 inch balls, dip into egg white, then into nuts and place on cookie sheet. Make depression with finger. Bake 5 minutes then remove from oven, press down center again and add preserves. Bake for 15 more minutes. Cool on racks completely before eating....preserves will be hot
