South Side apartment building burns, firefighters hurt

Three Chicago firefighters have been hurt battling a fire on the city's South Side.It happened at a vacant three-story apartment building at 219 East 68th Street.

ABC7 Chicago was told one firefighter fell through the stairs and suffered a leg inury. A mayday call went out. He had to be rescued and was taken to Christ hospital, apparently in good condition.

All three reportedly had minor injuries, and were expected to go home from the hospital Sunday.

The fire was burned on the second and third floors of the building.

Firefighters say they did not find anyone inside.
