Obama considering Chicago judge for Supreme Court

President Obama has added federal appeals court Judge Ann Williams of Chicago to his list of possible successors to Justice John Paul Stevens, who will retire at the end of the current court session.

President Obama wants a Supreme Court nominee who backs women's rights but says there will be no "litmus test" on abortion.

The president invited Senate leaders from both parties to the White House Wednesday to discuss the upcoming opening on the court.

"I want somebody who is going to be interpreting the Constitution in a way that takes into account individual rights and that includes women's rights," said Obama.
