According to the Chicago Sun-Times, after 100 years of using foil gum wrappers, Wrigley is replacing them with paper wrappers.
The company says the move will save money because paper is about 13 percent cheaper than foil.
The change affects Wrigley's Doublemint, Spearmint, Winterfresh, Big Red and Juicy Fruit gums.
The packaging switch will be complete later this year.
