Autopsy: Alleged shoplifter was strangled

The man who died after a physical struggle in a Southwest Side alley was strangled, and his death has been ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner.Police say 34-year-old Anthony Kyser had allegedly shoplifted at the CVS store near 26th Street and South Pulaski Saturday when he was chased down by a store employee.

Witnesses say the two fought. Kyser was unconscious when police arrived. He was rushed to the hospital and died a short time later.
