Wrigleyville bar and restaurant owners are angry over a plan to develop a hotel and retail complex in the neighborhood.

They're upset with 44th ward alderman Tom Tunney who's in favor of the project at Clark and Addison across from Wrigley Field.

The $100 million dollar plan calls for building a Hyatt hotel, parking garage, retail stores, and apartments.

The high-rise hotel would be over 9 stories and the project would displace 8 local businesses including the i-o theater once known as the Improv Olympics.

Opponents say the development would destroy the character of the neighborhood.
