Anne Sempowski Ward resigned as president and chief operating officer of Johnson Publishing to join her husband in the couple's consulting firm.
Ward was hired in 2007 to head Fashion Fair, Johnson Publishing's cosmetics division. She was promoted a year later.
Ward said it was a privilege to be the first member from outside the Johnson family to serve as president and COO.
