In the same year Rycroft got engaged and married to her insurance agent boyfriend Ty Strickland and got her new 'GMA' post, Rycroft has also learned she is pregnant.
Rycroft said she and Strickland are excited. When asked if she had a "baby bump" Rycroft said not quite yet.
"More like a baby pooch right now. The baby bump will come later," she said.
Rycroft did not mention on "GMA" when she is due.
Rycroft is scheduled to appear on ABC7 This Morning Thursday during the 6 a.m. hour.
