NewsViews: Unemployment

Here in Chicago, people waited in long lines on Thursday to apply for jobs at the Ford assembly plant on the Far South Side. The facility plans to add 1,200 new jobs. ABC 7 spoke to people in line who had been out of work for more than a year and were having trouble getting by on unemployment benefits.

So when will the situation improve? Joining us to talk about the job market are John Challenger, CEO of Challenger, Gray and Christmas, and Robert Johnson, the associate director of economic analysis of the investment research firm Morningstar.
