Friday in court, Lora Hunt agreed to pay $15,000. According to the Lake County State's Attorney, the money will cover the cost of the motorcycle Anita Zaffke was riding and her funeral expenses.
The crash happened in May 2009. Zaffke was stopped at a red light when Hunt struck her.
Hunt was also sentenced to spend her nights in jail for 18 months. On Friday, she asked the judge for permission to be freed every Sunday to attend services at a church about 100 miles from the Lake County Jail.
The judge is considering the request.
