Chicagoans 'Run for Peace' through city streets

August 28, 2010 (CHICAGO) The organization's first-ever two-mile peace run began at Kells Park on the West Side.

Ceasefire is an anti-violence program that works with police to try to prevent bloodshed.

Earlier at a news conference, officials-- including police commanders, Ald. Ed Smith of the 28th Ward -- Ceasefire Director Tio Hardiman called children the nation's future and urged parents to keep them in school and out of trouble.
