Drivers in Illinois should expect safety checks and increased patrols as people return from Labor Day activities.

State police and local departments are focusing on late-night hours. They say that is when most accidents involving drunk drivers happen.

Troopers and officers are also checking if drivers are wearing seat belts.

Chicago aviation officials say they expect 1.4 million passengers to travel through O'Hare and Midway airports through tomorrow.
