Lake County Sheriff Roy Dominguez stopped patrols by his officers in the Town of Winfield Friday.
The sheriff gave Winfield officials until noon Friday to pay $100,000 to continue the service.
The sheriff says no payment was received, so patrols are over.
However, the Sheriff's Department will still respond to emergency calls in Winfield.
