No more sheriff's patrols in Winfield, Ind.

Sheriff's patrols have come to an end in one Northwest Indiana town.

Lake County Sheriff Roy Dominguez stopped patrols by his officers in the Town of Winfield Friday.

The sheriff gave Winfield officials until noon Friday to pay $100,000 to continue the service.

The sheriff says no payment was received, so patrols are over.

However, the Sheriff's Department will still respond to emergency calls in Winfield.
