Peters and Police Officer Michael Flisk were shot to death while Flisk processed the scene. A 19-year-old parolee who lives nearby is being held without bond in the case.
A wake will be held for Peters Friday evening at the Rayner and Sons Funeral Home at 318 East 71st Street in Chicago.
A funeral Mass will be said Saturday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
Following the Mass, Peters will be buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
