The incident occurred at 12:45 a.m. in the 900-block of North Central Park Avenue when a red- or maroon-colored Buick Regal traveling northbound on Central Park Avenue struck the victim.
The victim was leaning over a parked vehicle talking to a friend. The Regal reportedly fled northbound on Central Park Avenue from the scene.
The passenger's side rearview mirror was broken off and left at the scene. Due to the lapse in time, the mirror may have been replaced.
