Christmas tree recycling programs have begun

December 27, 2010 (CHICAGO)

There are recycling programs gearing up in the city and suburbs to properly dispose of those trees.

In Chicago, the tree recycling program gets under way on Saturday.

There are some suburban communities already accepting trees.

It's important to remember to take off all the lights and ornaments because the trees will be shredded for mulch.
