Bomb and arson investigators were looking into the cause of an early Tuesday morning apartment fire on Chicago's South Side.

Rescuers managed to wake close to a dozen people so they could get out of the building in the 7400-block of South Luella. Firefighters rescued others by ladder.

A neighbor says a tenant's boyfriend was abusing her and he allegedly set fire to her apartment.

No one is in custody. The bomb and arson squad was notified. Two people were transported to Jackson Park Hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
