Signs of aging related to change in bone structure

The sagging and wrinkles may also have something to do with change in bone structure.

According to a study in the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, facial bones can lose volume and recede, making you look even older.

Also, the bones of the eye socket can gradually widen, and the brain and jawbones can become less defined.

This may help explain why tightening skin alone, and even tissue fillers, may not be enough to really recapture a face's once youthful appearance.
