The man was hit by the car while filming a scene Monday and suffered a broken ankle.
About 3:30 p.m., the Chicago Fire Department got a call of a person struck by a car on the 1900 block of South Spaulding Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Rich Rosado.
The injured person was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious to critical codition, Rosado said.
