1 dead, 2 hurt when car runs into school bus

February 9, 2011 (CHICAGO)

The northbound lanes of I-94 were closed at 73rd Street for over and hour, which interfered with Chicago's afternoon rush hour.

Illinois State Police say the school bus was broken down when the crash occurred at 2:15 p.m. on the westbound 90/94. No children were on board the bus.

One adult was killed and two children were injured, according to police. All were in the car, police said. The children were both transported in critical condition to University of Chicago Hospital.

Three ambulances were sent to the scene.
