If you are one of the many Americans who are getting or has gotten a knee replacement you should feel good in knowing it will probably last for at least 20 years.

According to a study that is being presented to the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, most study participants who had knee replacements and lived for another 20 years maintained an active lifestyle.

All reported at least "moderate activity."

Like all surgeries it does carry certain risks. Success rates are said to be between 90 and 93 percent.
