A house at Sixth Avenue and Walnut was on fire. Flames could be seen shooting from the windows.
One person was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition. Two additional ambulances were requested to the scene, but there's been no word on more injuries. The fire started at 6:14 a.m., a Maywood police dispatcher said.
The fire raced through the second story of the home and up through the attic.
