People marched and chanted Saturday for Libya's government to fall and for peace and democracy in the country.

The protest against violence by Libyan authorities took place near Michigan and Congress.

Some people stood on pictures of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. Protestors accuse him of heading a regime of oppression and fear.

Others in the crowd waved Libyan flags.

Protest leaders urged the U.S. to strongly condemn attacks on demonstrators in Libya.
