5 honored at '100 Black Men of Chicago' event

Five men who serve their communities as role models for young people were singled out Saturday night.

The Rev. Richard Toliver, Tim King, Mike Lewis, Ron Lofton and Lawrence Oliver are all highly successful men. They're also the honorees during Saturday night's 100 Black Men of Chicago gala at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago.

100 Black Men of Chicago is a volunteer mentoring organization for African American males around Chicago.This is the group's 14th annual fundraiser.

ABC7's Charles Thomas served as emcee for the event.
