Members of the Sikh community gathered on Chicago's North Side for a religious parade Saturday.

They were celebrating an ancient harvest festival. The colorful procession was made of floats representing Sikh temples from across the Midwest.

The Sikh tradition professes one universal creator of all things, a belief in honest work, sharing the fruits of your labor with the needy, family life and community service.
