The suspects are Timothy Smith, 26, and Kimberly Smith, 28, both of Woodstock, Ill. Police were called to their home late Saturday night. Officers say they found 48-year-old Kurt Milliman inside the house with a gunshot wound. Investigators say he responded to a Craigslist ad, an altercation followed and he was shot.
Timothy Smith faces several charges, including first degree murder, obstructing justice and facilitating prostitution. Kimberly Smith is charged with obstructing justice, disorderly conduct and prostitution.
Milliman was transported to Centegra Woodstock Memorial Hospital by Woodstock Fire Rescue, where he succumbed to his injuries, according a release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office. An autopsy will be conducted by the McHenry County Coroner's Office.
