Malicious apps threaten data of Android phone users

May 31, 2011

The mobile security firm Lookout says Google removed 25 apps from its store that could compromise an android user's personal data.

It's believed the malicious apps could be linked to more than 50 others containing malware that were found in Google's app store last March.

Google remotely removed those apps from Android phones where they had been downloaded.

So far Google has not commented on this new report of corrupt Android apps.
